What do you get when you multiply Seven By Six?
Or, were dose the new movie "The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy" rate on a scale from zero to two to the power of two hundred and seventy-six thousand, seven hundred and nine.
Don’t Panic. The answer to both questions is the same answer to life, the universe and everything. For those in the universe who have not yet been informed, the ultimate answer is forty-two.
Yes, that is right, it is my opinion that this take on Douglas Adams' book "The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy" failed miserably. I was disappointed to fine that dry humor and cheesy props, associated with British comedy, was missing. I was expecting this film to be more along the line of the old "Doctor Who" and "Red Dwarf" BBC series. Instead I found the story line to be to serious when it was suppose to be just plain stupid.
Oh well that’s the problem with the movies today. They think everyone is so concerned with special effects and an intellectual story line. They have forgotten that it is ok to take a break and just be cheap and stupid for a while.
So it is my recommendation for those fortunate souls who have yet to witness this phenomenon, just wait and rent the DVD. Better yet, go out and read the book. It’s cheap and stupid.
